FCA meeting is Thursday, January 12th at 7:45am in the LTMS Weightroom.  Free breakfast will be provided and donations are appreciated.  You do not have to be an athlete and first timers are more than welcome!

Kazaam is a free afterschool social for all 6th graders who attend LTMS and we need your help to make it happen!

Science Department

Attention HUNTERS:  Hunting Season is here!  7th grade Science will be studying the circulatory system and we would like to have your deer hearts. Please bag and freeze your deer hearts for our upcoming dissection and deliver all hearts to Mrs. Young or Mr. Armstrong.  You don't have to be in 7th grade to do your part. We appreciate help from any grade level parent.  We will be accepting any donations until January or the end of hunting season. Please do your part for science!  Good hunting and thank you for your support!

Impact of the New STAAR/EOC Assessment for Middle School

Algebra I and Geometry Students

The new STAAR/EOC assessment will be implemented for the first time this spring 2012. Middle School students taking Algebra I and Geometry will be required to take the End-Of-Course assessment which impacts earning high school credit for the course as well as other graduation requirements. You are invited to a meeting  on Wednesday, January 11th, 6:30pm, LTMS Auditorium, to learn more about STAAR/EOC and its impact on your Algebra I or Geometry student.

Academic UIL Competition
LTMS kicked off the start of the academic UIL season with a

special presentation to the students introducing them to UIL and describing the different teams in which they can compete.  Students should have received a purple sign up sheet which is due back by Wednesday, January 11 for all interested in participating. 

Attention 8th Grade Parents 

You are invited to attend LTHS PTA's next meeting on Monday, January 9th, at 10:00am.  Please bring your driver's license if you have not been to LTHS before.
