Attention 8th Grade Parents

The 8th Grade Panoramic picture will be taken Wednesday, January 18th. For $25, you can receive a Large, laminated picture. For $35, you will receive a large, laminated picture along with two medium sized pictures. Either Cash or Checks made payable to Goldbeck Company, are accepted.
Pictures will be sold on Thursday, January 19th, during B&C Lunches.

Knights in Service Deadline
Please ask your students to log any volunteer service hours performed up until now into the Knights in Service tracker. All hours entered by Sunday, January 15th, will be included in the nine-weeks report.
The tracker can be found HERE. For anyone having trouble logging hours, please take a look at this brand new instruction guide. Before logging hours, please review the program guidelines to know what will be accepted.

Looking for a fun way to get involved with the PTO?
Then consider serving on the Nominations Committee. We need a committee of three members to help recruit people to serve as 2012 - 2013 PTO officers and chairpersons. Don't miss the LTMS school wide Talent Show on January 20. Tickets are on sale now at the front office. The presale ticket price is $5.00 each, and it will be $8.00 at the door. Our guest master of ceremonies will be Austin juggling magician Zach Waggoner! Don't miss this spectacular show. Young Athlete Heart Screening

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is a serious heart condition that affects 1 in 500 student athletes every year, often without any warning. That's why Heart Hospital of Austin is proud to serve the community and provide FREE young athlete heart screening.
Each screening is reviewed by a cardiologist and is available for free (over $700 value).

LT Varsity Boys Basketball
When: Monday, January 16th
Time: 8:30am to 12:00pm (8:00am registration)
Price: $45 per participant Kinder to 6th grade
$ 65 per participant 7th and 8th grade
Price includes lunch***, t-shirt, and performance at a Lake Travis Varsity Basketball game. Different levels of dance technique from beginner to advanced will be provided. The morning session focus on learning the dance routine for the basketball game. Different styles of dance will be the focus of the afternoon session, including a Red Ruby skill workshop for 7th and 8th graders only. This will be taught in small group format.
***lunch will be provided for 7th & 8th gades only, snacks will be provided for everyone.
Important Note: On Friday, January 20th only performers will get into the varsity game FREE. Family and friends will need to purchase a ticket.

FitSmart Expo is a FUN and FREE event highlighting LTISD programs promoting health education, nutrition, fitness, and healthy lifestyles.
We are proud to add the Randy Saucedo Memorial Mile & 5K this year. LTISD students will be able to run the last mile for Marathon Kids if they cannot make the event downtown.
