Knights In Service Opportunity
What: FitSmart Expo and Randy Saucedo Memorial Mile and 5K run sponsored by LTISD Food & Nutrition Services
When: Sunday, February 26th
Noon to 1:00 pm - 5K and Mile run
1:00 to 4:00 pm - Expo with food, fun and challenges
Where: Lake Travis High School
Description: 8th grade students are invited to earn service hours by working shifts at the expo's many booths and stations. For more information including contact information and the volunteer sign up link, check the FitSmart website.

Did you know all our logged volunteer hours are reported to the school board, AND they are helpful when the district applies for grants or recognition awards? Please continue (or start!) to input your outside, school-related volunteer hours into the v-volunteer site, www.v-volunteer.com. Always record your hours in the current month...even if you are catching up from previous months. From the Nurse
Very soon you will receive a letter in the mail regarding the immunizations your student will need before entering the seventh grade. For the most part, most students will need their second Varicella, Menactra, and a TDAP, booster. If you do not receive a letter you may want to check with the school nurse before your next doctor visit to be sure that immunizations are current. Students will be excluded from classes until immunization status is current. For questions, call Barbara Browne, RN at 512-533-6222.
The Care Van offers these immunizations FREE and will be at the Educational Center by Lake Travis Elementary on February 22nd, from 5:00 to 7:00pm. Your student can be ready for seventh grade at no expense to you!
