Science Department
Attention HUNTERS: Hunting Season is here! 7th grade Science will be studying the circulatory system and we would like to have your deer hearts. Please bag and freeze your deer hearts for our upcoming dissection and deliver all hearts to Mrs. Young or Mr. Armstrong. You don't have to be in 7th grade to do your part. We appreciate help from any grade level parent. We will be accepting any donations until January or the end of hunting season. Please do your part for science!

Boxtops Bundle
Send in all of your boxtops you have on hand from all your holiday baking as we are going to make a submission before a few of our boxtops expire. Bring them into the front office and drop them in the collection box.
Thanks to all of you using the Boxtops Marketplace to shop and make holiday purchases. 150+ retailers give us a rebate back and you don't pay any more for your shopping items. You win and the school wins. Who would ask for more?

Pennies for Patients Is Back!
Last year LTMS hosted an amazing service project - Pasta for Pennies benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - which motivated the entire campus to help cure leukemia - the number one cause of death of children under 20. Do you remember the winner from last year? Ms. Lloreda's class earned the top fundraising pasta lunch. Let's beat her this year! We will start collecting donations in January. Last year we raised $5240, and we are hoping to double it this year! You can help us do it!
New this year are companion websites for students called Cancer Bites. Each student who signs up for a page will get their link when they return from the Christmas holidays. For each $100 raised online in the calendar month, the student will earn TWO Fandango movie vouchers. This is a great way to recognize our students' individual efforts as they work together as a team for their pasta party! All online donations will credit the classroom competition, as well.

Congratulations!
The Lake Travis Cavaliers defeated the Waco Midway Panthers 22-7 Friday, December 16th at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington for the Class 4A - Division I state final and become the first team to win five consecutive state titles in the history of Texas high school football.
