Middle school transition camp for incoming LTMS 6th graders
Wednesday, August 10, 2011
8:30 am drop-off
Noon pick-up LTMS
Drop-off is scheduled for 8:30am in the front parking lot. If you are just dropping off, you may drive through the loop and drop off curbside in front of the school. If you would like to escort your child in, please park in a parking space and utilize the cross-walk at the main entrance (do not park along the curb).
Parents may wait with their children in the courtyard. When the event begins, we will ask parents to say their goodbyes and students will be escorted to the gym. The games will conclude at 11:15 and students will return to the courtyard for a grilled hot dog luncheon.
The camp ends at noon and students will be escorted to the front of the school for pick-up. Parents may form a pickup line in the right lane along the curb. The left lane is for thru traffic only. Please do not stop in the left lane for loading as this is a safety issue for students.
We'll have plenty of water for the students, but please remember the sunscreen!

Volunteers Still Needed!!!
For Knight Games on August 10 from 8 am to 1 pm.
We still need a few more parent volunteers to help with sign-up, set-up and tear-down. Please email Cindy Hardage, 6thgrade@ltmspto.org with your available times and she will assign you accordingly.
Do you already have a LTMS student that needs to get volunteer hours? We need additional student volunteers to help that day with lunch and clean up!

Attention Concert Band and Symphonic Band students:
Our end of summer band camp will be held on August 9-11 from 9:00AM to 11:30AM in the High School Band hall! Bring your instrument and we'll provide the rest. Don't forget that there will be a pizza party for the sections with the highest attendance rate. See you then - Mr. Jedele.

Knights in Service Opportunity
When: Thursday, August 18, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Where: Lake Pointe Elementary School
What: Back to Excellence Night (Meet the Teacher) at LPE
Description: 3 or 4 middle school students are invited to earn service hours by helping stand at the refreshment table, serve cookies and drinks to families coming to meet their elementary school teacher, and provide directions to the gym and cafeteria.
